Terms of Use

1. Purpose

MyMoun is a progressive web app for dating, reserved for adults. It lets you create a profile, discover other profiles, “like” them, and exchange private messages with the people you have a mutual match with.

The service is published by Lakay Games, a French simplified joint-stock company (SAS) with a share capital of €50,000, whose registered office is located at 1 chemin des Coutures, 94200 Ivry-sur-Seine, France (“MyMoun”, “we”, “us”). These terms of use (the “Terms”) govern access to and use of the service.

2. Acceptance and applicable documents

By creating an account or using MyMoun, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. The Terms apply together with the following documents:

3. Eligibility

MyMoun is strictly reserved for people aged 18 or over. By signing up, you declare that:

  • you are at least 18 and able to enter into these Terms;
  • you will create only one account, for yourself;
  • the information you provide is accurate and up to date, in particular your date of birth;
  • you have not been excluded from MyMoun.

At this stage, age is self-declared and backed by checks. We may ask for stronger verification measures and suspend an account until they are provided. An account belonging to a minor is deleted. We do not certify the identity or age of members.

4. Account and security

You sign up with an email address and a password, then you confirm your email address. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity carried out from your account. Choose a unique password and do not share it. If you think your account is being used without your permission, write to us right away at contact@lakaygames.com.

5. How the service works

  • Your profile may include a nickname or first name, your age (calculated from your date of birth, which is not published), your city and country, an introduction, a dating goal, interests, and up to 6 photos.
  • Photos are reviewed before other members can see them. We remove their EXIF metadata.
  • A match happens when two members like each other. Only matched people can exchange text messages.
  • You can block or report a member, pause your profile, export your data and delete your account from the settings.
  • Web Push notifications are optional and depend on your permission.

Messages are not end-to-end encrypted. Do not share highly sensitive information in them.

6. User content

You remain the owner of your rights in your content (photos, texts, messages). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, free licence, limited to what is necessary to host this content, display it to other members according to your settings, moderate it and run the service. It ends when you delete the content or your account, subject to temporary technical copies and legal retention obligations.

You are responsible for what you publish. You guarantee that you have the right to use your photos, that you appear in them, and that your content complies with the law and the community guidelines.

7. Prohibited behaviour

In particular, you must not harass, threaten or discriminate against anyone; impersonate someone; create fake profiles; post nudity or sexually explicit content; ask for money or attempt a scam; advertise or send spam; use bots or collect data; or bypass our security measures. 8. Moderation and sanctions

We may refuse a photo, remove content, warn, suspend or ban an account if these Terms or the community guidelines are breached, or to comply with a legal obligation. We will generally tell you the reason for the decision. You can challenge it by writing to contact@lakaygames.com. Administration actions are recorded in audit logs.

Only as part of a report, an authorised moderator may exceptionally view the messages concerned, and each access is logged. To learn more, see the privacy policy.

9. Free of charge and future changes

MyMoun is currently free and no payment is requested. We may change, add or remove features. If paid options are ever introduced, their terms (price, content, duration, cancellation) will be communicated to you and must be accepted separately before any payment.

10. Availability and no guarantee of results

We do our best to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability: maintenance, outages or interruptions may occur. MyMoun is a tool for connecting people. We do not promise any meeting, relationship or particular result.

11. Liability

Members are solely responsible for their content and behaviour, online and offline. We do not systematically verify declared information and do not take part in meetings. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to direct and foreseeable damage resulting from our own breach. Nothing in these Terms excludes our liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence or personal injury, or the mandatory rights you have as a consumer.

12. Termination and account deletion

You can pause your profile or delete your account at any time from the settings. Deletion is permanent. The effects on your data are described in the privacy policy. We may suspend or close an account in the cases set out in section 8.

13. Changes to the Terms

We may change these Terms, for example to reflect a change in the service or in the law. For significant changes, we will notify you at least 30 days before they take effect, in the app or by email. If you do not accept the new terms, you can delete your account. Continuing to use MyMoun after they take effect means you accept them.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the law of France. Any dispute falls within the jurisdiction of the competent courts of the registered office (Créteil, France), subject to mandatory consumer-protection rules, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence, which remain applicable.
